ROADMAP TO STRATEGY
This short roadmap needs to differentiate strategy from tactics. Strategy is your lifetime productive goal — the long-term purpose. Tactics are the steps to accomplish your strategy. For example, in war, a country’s strategy could be to influence public opinion about the opponent’s civilian population; tactics could include radio broadcasts. Strategy comes first; tactics come second. Strategy requires time to research and choose a long-term vision in the big picture. It includes understanding why you want a certain goal. Tactics describe how you will achieve it. Both strategy and tactics need deadlines. A Gantt chart integrates them into a sequential calendar of activities.
