The theme of the novel is “the role of reason in the destiny of man”; the plot, the conflict between irrational villains and rational heroes and heroines; the former, are a secret society originated in ancestral Babylon that wants to rule the minds of the masses; the latter, elite football players who love Aristotle and think for themselves; the villains, want to destroy civilization with an Armageddon and a pandemic; the heroes and heroines, want to write a book of philosophy with football metaphors to spread reason to the masses and promote a New Renaissance in Earth, Mars and future planets
