FREEDOM

By Charles Kocian

Tulsi Gabbard, USA first Hawaii Hindu-America lawmaker liberated herself from Democratic Party on Tuesday accusing it of being dominated by an irrational ideology.

”I can no longer remain in today’s Democratic Party that is now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness, who divide us by racializing every issue and stoke anti-white racism, actively work to undermine our God-given freedoms that are enshrined in our Constitution,” Tulsi Gabbard said in Twitter.

Tulsi Gabbrad taking a new political wave.

She condemned the party for demonizing the police and protecting criminals accusing it for weaponizing national security and dragging the USA to nuclear war. Gabbard, a military veteran, became strongly anti-war. Her personal skill includes surfing and, it looks like, she understands that to control nature, first you have to obey it.

During The Renaissance other woman was famous. Her name was Joan of Arc.

Joan of Arc sustaining the banner that brought hope to France.

Joan of Arc (1412 – 30 May 1431) became a military leader who transcended gender roles and gained recognition as a saviour of France during the Hundred Years’ War with England.

In 1428, she said was guided by visions from the archangel Michael to save Charles, King of France, from English domination.

The King sent, seventeen years old Joan, to the siege of Orléans as part of a relief army in April 1429. Wielding her banner, she bought hope to the demoralized French army and only nine days after the English abandoned the siege. Her role boosted French morale driving the final triumph in the Hundred Years’ War decades later.

Joan of Arc burned to death on May 30, 1431, at the age of 19.

But in 1430 Joan of Arc was captured by the English and their French collaborators. Although the trial was politically motivated it was done in an ecclesiastical court. The trial procedures were under inquisitorial standards. She was accused of heresy because she used men’s clothes and was acting by demonic visions. Convicted, she was burned to death on May 30, 1431, at age 19.

Joan of Arc’s execution created a political problem for King Charles. He was related to Joan the heretic so the King needed to change that. After many attempts of legal rehabilitation, the final trial began on November 1455 at Notre Dame Cathedral. Joan Arc’s mother personally requested for her daughter’s rehabilitation. After interrogating 115 witnesses the court founded that the original trial was unjust.

In the Hellenic world another woman became famous: Hypatia of Alexandria.

Hypatia of Alexandria, as portrayed by the actress Rachel Weisz in the film AGORA.

Hypatia of Alexandria (370 -415 AD) was a mathematician, astronomer and philosopher. Daughter of Theon of Alexandria, himself a respected mathematician and astronomer, she was determined to preserve the Greek mathematical and astronomical heritage.

She was a famous teacher on philosophical topics attracting students and large audiences. Her Neoplatonist philosophy was seen as “pagan” at a time of conflict between Christians and pagans. Her philosophy also led her to embrace a life of dedicated virginity.

In times of religious violence, Hypatia was brutally murdered by Christian zealots. They pulled her from her carriage on a street in Alexandria, dragged her to a church, stripped her naked, beat her and flayed her alive to death, and then burned her remains.

Hypatia is a powerful symbol for intellectual endeavour in the face of ignorant prejudice.

Hypatia of Alexandria Death, by Charles William Mitchell, English Painter of XIX century.

“Fables should be taught as fables, myths as myths, and miracles as poetic fantasies. To teach superstitions as truths is a most terrible thing. The child mind accepts and believes them, and only through great pain and perhaps tragedy can he be in after years relieved of them.”

Hypatia of Alexandria.

CONCLUSION

Political narratives always lose against scientific truths.
