Champions Renaissance

(Answer at the end).

NATURAL TRUTHS

By Charles Kocian

One of the news of this week are the riots of Brazilian people who think that Brazil presidential elections were stolen. The other big news of the week is SPARE, the book of Prince Harry explaining its personal life intimate details and his relation with its Royal Family, a  Constitutional Monarchy in which the reigning monarch, although does not make any open political decisions, has a significant indirect influence in the UK and the Commonwealth.

Personal opinions can differ from truth, specially from erroneous interpretations of evidence. This is true for a possible stolen election or for the psyche of a Prince in therapy.

Spare, Prince Harry’s Book

In The Prince, the book written by Machiavelli in Florence during the Renaissance, he advice the rulers of its time how a working Prince, with a state responsibility with its country, should behave in order to be publicly loved and feared at the same time. But because there was no therapists in those days, he could not advice any prince to go to therapy or make it public to make money.

Machiavelli.

Personal opinions of a therapist, religious conversions, envy inside of a private family history, or the way on how to count the votes to steal a presidential election, all these personal actions have one thing in common: they produce errors based in opinions that don’t respect natural truths and, no living being can avoid the absolute consequences of its decisions. So, if personal actions cause absolute consequences it’s better to stay attached to reality before taking any action, that is, to respect natural facts if you want to be respected by reality later.

Galileo showing the evidence he discovered.

The Inquisition is not respected anymore because it didn’t respect reality. It burned a lot of innocent people and punished Galileo because he respected the fact that the Earth moves around the Sun. Can anyone respect the action of the Catholic Church that in 1616 declared that heliocentrism was heretical? No. Galileo was ordered to abstain of any heliocentric thoughts and the Inquisition condemn him to stay at home for the rest of his life. Another irrational action carried by other bigots also happened with Hypatia of Alexandria.

Hypatia of Alexandria murder.

Hypatia of Alexandria was a philosopher, astronomer, mathematician and a great teacher. She was loved by pagans and Christians, having a great influence in the political elite in Alexandria. In March 415 AD, she was murdered by a mob of irrational Christians bigots shocking the entire Roman Empire.

CONCLUSION

If the universe is given, natural and absolute, (like the Elements of the Periodic Table); if reality is governed by laws that exist by its own, independent from people’s opinions, then to have a successful happy life in the real world, it’s good to respect reality if you want to be respected by it.
