Champions Renaissance

(Answer at the end).

NPD-LEADERS

By Charles Kocian

“We’re the United States of America, for God’s sake, the most powerful nation in the world – not in the world – in the history of the world,” president Joe Biden said recently in a 60 Minutes interview. “We can take care of both of these and still maintain our overall international defence,” he added referring to the war in Ukraine and Israel. “We have the capacity to do this, and we have an obligation to,” he also said  referring to the US as “the essential nation”. Is he mentally sane?

Is US the chosen country of God?

Is Biden suffering from NPD mental illness? NPD is the acronym for Narcissistic Personality Disorder. NPD is a mental disorder characterized by a life-long pattern of exaggerated feelings of self-importance. The complete lack of empathy to others and disconnection to reality is a main characteristic of this illness accordingly to the International Classification of Diseases (ICD). This is common to leaders through history. One recent example is Nazi-Germany, a whole country who believed were not the chosen jews but the chosen arians. If all man are born equal, what is the difference? Nobody is above natural law.

Was Nazi Germany the chosen country of the god Thor?

Leaders, groups or countries who are suffering NPD illness have no emotional empathy to others. They confuse self-esteem with social status. They are not attached to facts and objective self-awareness. They usually think in black and white terms. They have a grandiose sense of self-importance and fantasies of unlimited power. They believe they are unique. They require immediate compliance to their expectations. They don’t have rational integrity. They are dishonest with others to achieve their own goals. They believe an holocaust justifies another. They cheat, are hypocrites and act in bad faith. They are arrogant and lack of empathy. They suffer functional self-deception. All of these are the characteristics of a psychopath.

Macchiavelli.

In the Renaissance, Nicolo Machiavelli wrote its famous book “The Prince”.  He studied the story of successful kings identifying its characteristics that are, among others, to act as a fox and lion; retain the affection of his people, but better be feared than loved; manipulate public consensus through education, religion and propaganda; agree that the end justifies any mean (including to torture, kill or steal); act as an opportunist; present a false mask of kindness; expand the state to avoid its decline; destroy free-speech in a conquered territory. This NPD psychopathic characteristics were also common in ancient leaders. An extreme case was Caligula.

Caligula.

Gaius Caesar Augustus Germanicus, known as Caligula, was a Roman emperor from AD 37 until his assassination in AD 41. Some scholars describe him as an insane cruel, extravagant, and sexual perverted tyrant. He wanted a statue of himself in the Temple of Jerusalem for his worship. For mere sadistic amusement, he used to kill, sleep with other men’s wives and bragg about it. He slept with its sisters and showed many other extreme insane NPD behaviours.

Jerusalem.

What about the gods of sacred books? Do they have a narcissistic personality disorder? Ancient Greek gods were cruel? The God of the Old Testament shows lack of empathy too? Is He is a NPD character? He punished humanity forever, because Eve ate an apple; destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah; and killed inocent children with The Flood. Did US leaders show lack of empathy when they vaporized the children of Hiroshima and Nagasaki? Can leaders get mad like a psychopathic-god? What ruler was empathic with the ruled?

God punished you before you were born for something you didn’t do.

CONCLUSION

If the gods created men or the writers created the gods, whatever the case, history shows that leaders of all cultures had suffer, are suffering and will suffer the NPD disease. They don’t have empathy. They confuse self-esteem with social-power. Are the UN leaders ready for a Machiavellian nuclear Armageddon just to retain its social-power? Are they aware of their NPD mental illness? Having said that, the conclusion of this post is an urgent call:  A mandatory psychological test for all positions of power needs to be law and included in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of the UN.  If we can do that in good faith, humanity will end this NPD disease of the ages, and the culture of a New Renaissance will probable come true.
